Booking.Com Monument Building

11,000 sq/ft Cat B fit out in The Monument Building, a new development next to the famous Monument memorial tower on Monument Street, London.

Booking.Com employed Etec Associates to carry out the MEPH Cat B design for their new London office.  The space included open office space for 120 desks, feature staff breakout area, board room and client meeting rooms. The Cat A 4-pipe fan coil unit system was modified throughout the office space to suit the new cellurisation.  The building, having just one escape stair, has a stringent fire strategy in place, using a staircase pressurisation system, amongst other features.   A feature lighting design has been provided to several areas, creating a funky and vibrant space.  In addition, suspended ceilings were removed to expose the existing Cat A services and make a feature of them within the fit out works. In the open plan office space, LED lighting has been provided throughout with lighting control incorporating perimeter daylight dimming.

  • Exposed services and feature lighting designs
  • LED lighting throughout, incorporating daylight dimming control
  • New creative and fun staff breakout area
  • New meeting suite
  • 4 pipe Fan Coil Unit System
  • Enhanced Fire Detection throughout
